Friends and Friendships

Before you speak about a person who is not present, ask yourself if what you are about to say is: (1) true, (2) kind, (3) necessary, (4) would you mind if they heard you saying it.

When someone believes what you tell them, the trust they have placed in your word becomes their source of faith regarding the matter. This makes you at least partly responsible for their actions regarding the matter.

No matter how good a friend is, they are going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
